Questions about chandeliers?

Size: The rule of thumb for selecting a dining room chandelier is to add the length of your room in feet the the width of your room in feet and then take the resulting number in inches (instead of feet).
For example, if your room is 10 ft long x 12 ft wide, you would be looking for a chandelier about 22 inches wide (10 + 12 = 22).
The Wilcox, Tin Whistle, Hatboro, Morgan, Pittsfield, Sullins, Mulberry, Philadelphia, Falls Church and the Sheraton chandeliers fall within the size range of a dining room chandelier. Smaller chandeliers such as the Hanna, Willow Grove, Bradley, and Dinwiddy are great hallway, bedroom, entryway or laundry room lights, but are a little small for over a dining room table.
Colors: Colors listed with the chandelier are generally in stock and are usually available for same day shipping. Any chandelier may be special ordered in any color combination for an additional 10%! You can even send us your own color samples and we will do our best to match your colors for an additional 10% plus $20.00. Please allow 8 to 10 weeks for delivery of special order chandeliers.
Chain, cord, ceiling plate kit, candle pans, etc.: Three feet of chain links and a matching ceiling canopy come with each chandelier. The canopy (ceiling plate) is about 6 inches wide. Extra 6 inch links may be ordered for $3.00 each. Most chandeliers are wired with 6 feet of cord. Extra cord or different candle pans than what is pictured require a special order. Please allow 8 to 10 weeks for delivery of custom orders. All of our chandeliers are made in the USA!
Wattage: All of our chandeliers are fitted for standard candelabra base bulbs. These bulbs are available in 15 watt, 25 watt, 40 watt, and 60 watt sizes from most hardware and grocery stores. The Country Store does offer the petite 40 watt clear bulbs as shown in images for $1.00 ea.

How much do you charge for shipping? Do you ship overseas?

Shipping is based on the total cost of your order. When you fill out an online order form, shipping charges will be automatically added for your information. We ship primarily UPS within the continental United States. We also ship to Canada and other foreign countries primarily through the US Postal Service and charge only the actual cost of the shipment which is based upon total weight.

What if my merchandise arrives damaged?

Hold on to the merchandise and keep its original packaging. Look for our instruction sheet that we enclose with your shipment or give us a call at (800) 232-1220 !

What about your returns policy?

Merchandise can be returned in original condition at any time for a refund of the purchase price or for exchange. Please pack your returns carefully and include a note of explanation. Be sure to indicate whether you would like to exchange the merchandise or be given a refund. We do not charge additional shipping on an exchange, but costs associated with the return shipment are the customer's responsibility. UPS automatically insures a package for $100, however we recommend that you insure shipments for their full purchase price. Postal returns are not automatically insured for any value, therefore always need to be insured.

Can you tell me the availability and confirm pricing for this item?

We do our best to keep everything in stock for immediate shipment, but due to the fact that most of our merchandise is hand made, we are occasionally unable to meet the demand. If we are unable to ship an item within a week, we will either E-mail you or call you with a projected ship date. If you are in a real rush, give us a call at (630) 879-0098 for immediate information on availability and/or pricing. We do not charge your credit card until the time of shipment.

Can you do something special for a gift order?

The Country Store of Geneva is happy to enclose a custom, hand-written message on a gift card with a gift purchase. (Be sure to let us know if you want us to include a catalog with the shipment!)

What is the status of my order?

We use both UPS and USPS. Most chandeliers are sent UPS and will receive a tracking number at the time of shipment. In the future we will automatically E-mail this number to you at the time of shipment. For now, give us a call at (630) 879-0098 if you would like to track the package or if you would like us to track it. Smaller items are usually sent two day priority mail and cannot be tracked prior to delivery. U.S. Postal Service
At this time U.S. Postal Service shipments do not have tracking numbers. However, you may be able to get information on a package by contacting your local post office or your letter carrier.
