if this recipe is followed, you will have candles equal to the adamantine. free from all impurities, and giving brilliant light. after melting the tallow, add say one pound of quicklime to every twenty of tallow, strain the tallow and mould the candles

Recipe for candles is printed on wrinkled, stained parchment and primitively framed in black and under glass. 12" wide x 9" high
